back        '99 INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON SEABUCKTHORN

    '99 International Workshop on Seabuckthorn was held by China Administration Center on Seabuckthorn Development(CACSD), the Ministry of Water Resources and International Center for Research and Training on Seabuckthorn, from 30 Aug. to 2 Sept. 1999, in Beijing.
    The Central Theme were 1. Prospect of Seabuckthorn Development in the 21st Century and 2.  Research and Development Progress.
    More than 70 experts and scholars from 12 countries, including Belarus, Canada, Finland, India, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sweden, Ukraine, Kirghizstan, United States and China, attended the seminar.They discussed measures to develop the plant and its prospects through the next century.
    Experts come from 12 countries reported their works in the first two days. In the next two days, the meeting of International Coordinating Committee of ICRTS was held. At the meeting, ICC members and participants discussed the international cooperation and sustainable development of ICRTS, established International Seabuckthorn Association.
